Book a consultation with David Anderson at our Jersey Eye Clinic.
David Anderson has been providing Consultant ophthalmic care for the population of Jersey since 2003. He was invited to work at Jersey General Hospital to help establish its department of corneal surgery in 2011 and has an established private clinic at the Lido Medical Centre in St Hellier.
Situated on the 3rd Floor of the Lido Medical Centre and part of the Vida Health and Aesthetics Suite, we offer a wide range of examination and diagnostic services including visual field analysis, corneal topography, YAG laser capsulotomy, YAG laser iridotomy and a range of dry eye treatments.
We have a minor operations suite and can offer day case minor surgical procedures e.g. removal of cysts and minor lid procedures often on a same day basis.
We are able to fully assess patients for their suitability for laser vision correction and cataract and refractive cataract surgery procedures and we offer free screening consultations for laser vision correction.
We provide regular free online educational events so that you can learn more about the range of laser and vision correction procedures we offer so that you can make a fully informed choice about the best treatment for you, the details are published here on the website or follow us on FB / Instagram.
In 2018 we were delighted to offer a major update to our laser facility and created a Zeiss laser suite based permanently at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital in Southampton.
We were the first to bring this technology to the South of England enabling us to offer newer treatments for vision correction including SMILE and PRESBYOND as well as LASIK and LASEK (or ASA).
These facilities are truly world-class and are available at only a few locations within the UK. We are also able to offer advanced therapeutic treatments such as topography-guided laser and ICR surgery for conditions such as Keratoconus.
Our laser facility sits within Nuffield Hospital Wessex which consistently wins accolades for safety and quality:
You will enjoy excellent facilities and will always be allocated a private room with en-suite facilities for your treatment, we have never used shared bays unlike many other providers as our focus is always on individual care.
For cataract and intra-ocular surgery we also provide in and out-patient facilities at Nuffield Health Hospitals. If surgery is required for both eyes, we can schedule procedures a few days apart so that you have the choice to return home between procedures or stay for both minimising travel.
There is no medical restriction on flying immediately after cataract surgery or laser vision correction.
You may be very familiar with the area but here is short guide to our Hampshire location and surroundings. Please don’t hesitate to ask if we can be of help advising you.
